We are
now living times when everyone is in a constant fear of
losing their job, wondering if they will have money to
pay the bills, and many might totally forget about
shopping. This shouldn’t happen, since
shopping is a fundamental part of our life: we have
our needs and how other way to fulfil our need than to
buy the materialization of our needs. If we don’t look
good than we don’t feel good – and this is a very
important fact, because many are shopping to look
good. But now we need to consider how good
we want to look, or more like: how good does our wallet
let us look. Don’t worry though, all we need is a plan,
and we can look good and our wallet will give us its
approval also! All you have to do is to consider the
following facts before jumping in the car and driving
out to the mall.
1.
Always make a
list with your priorities
Sit down,
and think about what do you need, and what you need the
most. Times when you drive out to the mall there you
start thinking about what you would buy and what
wouldn’t you is over: the time and money to do that is
now more like a luxury than something people have. Go to
the mall knowing what you want, and what you need. Don’t
walk down along the isles wondering: look at your list,
pick the first item and head directly to the appropriate
point of the mall. Buy it and head towards the next
item. This will also shorten the time you spend in the
mall and also spare your budget.
2.
Select
yourself a store carefully
Since
everybody has a favourite place, a favourite park, a
favourite lake where we go fishing, favourite items – it
is also likely to have a favourite place to shop. If
not, than you might want to consider selecting one. It
is very important to select a good store in the mall,
for several reasons. One is that we all want quality
items. No one wants to wear a shirt only once and then
throw it away. Therefore quality is important, but the
quality has its price. Make sure the store has a healthy
balance between quality and price, because you don’t
want to throw your money out the window. Also, if you
have selected a shop, than keep on going shopping there.
Soon enough you will get to know the environment; you
will know when they will have price drops and sales.
This might also give you an advantage: and if you see
something you like, but you don’t need it urgently, than
you might stop and consider buying it later on if there
is a possibility for a sale. This will also spare you
some cash, which is the quite important.
3.
Think about
the item, and sleep on it!
I’m sure
every one of us experienced some sort of regret when we
saw something, bought it, and then realized that we
don’t want it. You should always think it over twice at
least. If you see something, like it, try it and want to
buy it go home, and sleep on it. If you want the same
thing the other day than it is almost certain that you
won’t feel any regret after buying the item. It might
sound funny but believe me: it works just fine!
Summing
it up – here you have three basic rules which you must
respect! If you do that than your shopping days will
suddenly become much brighter and you won’t feel sorry
the other day for buying things you don’t want, for
spending money mindlessly, or for spending countless
hours in the mall. We can continue on our normal
activities, we only have to think a little bit more.
